Equipment Recycling Combo is very aware of the environmental impact of IT equipment. For our maintenance clients we are already paying carbon offsets for the energy these computers consume each year. We are also keen to assist our clients with the recycling of their used IT equipment to ensure the materials are put to the best possible use. Our technicians are delighted to bring your equipment back to our office for recycling following onsite maintenance visits, where practical to do so. Otherwise, we will organise with you to drop it off, or you can pay Combo to pick-up. Any minor fees incured will be passed back to you. - Equipment will be taken to B2C recyclers in Thomastown. B2C re-use what they can to make PCs for community groups and strip down the remainder for appropriate recycling or environmentally safe disposal.
Please note: Due to the over supply of CRT monitors, printers and broken laptops, B2C pass on disposal costs of $5.00 for each of these items. Pickup is available but a minimum cost of $100 applies for this service. - IT equipment including CRT monitors, printers and broken laptops can be taken to the Boroondara transfer station for free, where the ‘Byteback’ program (sponsored by the Boroondara Council, Hewlett Packard, EcoRecycle Victoria, KS Environmental and Sims E Recycling) will strip and recycle or safely dispose of these products.
In addition, both Dell and HP provide business-level recycling services for their equipment. These are chargeable services but an effective way of responsibly disposing of a large number of PCs with minimal hassle. Call us on 1300 726 626 or email sales@combo.com.au for more information.
