Combo claim win in 2018 CRN Impact Awards

May 2018 – Combo have taken home a win in the mid-range Modernising Infrastructure category at the 2018 CRN Impact Awards in Manly, NSW.

The 2018 CRN Impact awards recognised Australian IT providers and innovators for leading technology projects to deliver substantial benefits to Australian customers. Judged by the CRN editorial team and a group of respected industry judges, 12 winners were selected from a substantial number of entrants.

The award for Combo recognised the work done by their team for not-for-profit organisation Workways Australia. The project involved migrating Workways Australia from a distributed server model with aging infrastructure, to a hybrid cloud model in partnership with Telstra. This culminated in a significant improvement in performance across 44 sites in Australia.

Bryan McCormick, chief executive of Workways, said the benefits of the tech upgrade went beyond the IT team.

“Workways operates under a star rating system where employment service providers in Australia have their service delivery assessed by the federal government each quarter. Since engaging Combo to integrate our IT systems we have achieved an increase in our star rating each and every quarter.

“When we commenced this process our star rating was equal to the national average. Of the more than 100 providers Workways is now ranked in the top three nationally, an incredible improvement. The flow-on effect of this improved performance has been a lift in revenue, profitability and new business,” McCormick said.

In recognition of the award, Combo would like to thank the team at Telstra, championed by Workways Australia’s Account Executive, Brad Roberts, for their collaborative efforts in achieving these results; HP Inc., for their assistance with rolling out a fleet of end-user devices across Workways Australia’s sites, integrating with their upgraded operating environment; CRN Australia, for recognising the impact this project had on Workways Australia; and finally, the entire team at Combo, whose efforts have helped Workways double its revenue and achieve a 30 percent increase in the number of job seekers who have been placed in employment. The team at Combo continue to set the standard high for delivering projects and solutions which have positive and lasting impacts on the organisations they partner with.

Combo – National Winner in Australian Achiever Customer Service Awards

Combo in Brunswick East ‐ Victoria, has surpassed all others and won the 2018 Australian Achiever Award for Australia’s Computer Systems, Software & Internet Services category, having previously won the Victorian title in the category in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Now in their twenty‐first year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from companies’ own clients – and are therefore an indication of a well‐run, healthy business, worthy of patronage.

The award focuses on seven criteria, namely: Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care and Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception. Combo achieved a 99.58% overall score for Customer Service and Relations, topping all other Australia Computer Systems, Software & Internet Services businesses. The 2018 Australian Achiever Award proves Combo delivers on the promise of customer satisfaction.

Some comments received from Combo customers were:

Combo is the best IT company we have dealt with and sometimes I think they honestly keep us running. Their team work well together and their communication with us is outstanding. If anything goes astray or takes longer than usual, they let us know. They are extremely patient and willing to explain things as many times as needed until I fully understand and am on the same page. They are fantastic.

To me, Combo is a life saver. I don’t know what I would do without them. Technology is their absolute bread and butter, and something they are extremely knowledgeable about. I trust their advice completely. They communicate things in a manner that I can easily understand and always follow up with me.

They are remarkable at translating all the technical requests into plain English for me so I can understand exactly what the issue is, and what they are doing to solve the problem. They solve our issues very quickly. I am extremely happy with their service.
